Preparation steps

Oven preparation — Preheat the oven to 200°C, fan setting 180°C. Time: 5 min. Guide: Oven is ready to use.

Sweet potato preparation — Cut sweet potato into rounds about 2.5 cm thick, without peeling the skin. Time: 5 min. Guide: All rounds are the same thickness.

Arranging on the baking sheet — Place the sliced sweet potato on a baking sheet lined with parchment, in one layer. Time: 2 min. Guide: Sweet potato is evenly arranged.

First seasoning — Drizzle sweet potato with olive oil, salt, and pepper to taste. Time: 2 min. Guide: The entire surface is covered with oil.

First baking stage — Bake in the oven at 200°C for 20 minutes until the sweet potato is softened. Time: 20 min. Guide: Sweet potato is soft, can be pierced with a fork.

Garlic butter preparation — In a small skillet, melt the butter, add crushed garlic and chopped rosemary. Time: 3 min. Guide: Butter is clear, garlic is dissolving.

Final baking with Parmesan — Remove the sweet potatoes from the oven, brush each piece with garlic and rosemary oil, sprinkle with grated Parmesan, and return to the oven for a further 8–10 minutes, until the cheese has melted and is lightly browned. Time: 8–10 mins. Guide: The Parmesan has formed an appetising golden crust, and the sweet potato is tender on the inside and fragrant on top.

Tip: For maximum crispy edges, do not cover the baking sheet with foil during baking. Sweet potatoes should be served immediately after cooking, while the cheese is hot and melted.
