Preparation steps

Sweet potato preparation — Wash the sweet potatoes under cold water, peel them, and cut into uniform cubes or slices 0.5-1 cm thick. Time: 5 min. Guide: Sweet potatoes ready to fry.

Heating oil — Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan over medium-high heat until it begins to sizzle. Time: 2 min. Guide: Oil is hot, slight smoke may appear.

First layer of sweet potatoes — Pour sweet potatoes into the hot oil in one layer. Fry without stirring for 2-3 minutes to form a golden crust on the bottom. Time: 3 min. Guide: Bottom side of sweet potatoes is golden.

Stirring — Gently stir the sweet potatoes with a wooden spatula, flipping pieces to cook evenly. Time: 2 min. Guide: Sweet potatoes move to the other side.
