Cheesecake is the undisputed champion in popularity among desserts that have conquered the world thanks to their delicate texture and creamy taste. Dating back to ancient times, it has undergone numerous adaptations and modernisations. Modern variations include a wide variety of ingredients, from chocolate to fruit toppings.

But who can resist a slice of delicate cheesecake with fresh strawberries? Many housewives and chefs like to experiment with traditional recipes, adding seasonal berries that give the dish a new flavour and aesthetic appeal.

Variations

Cheesecake can be prepared using the classic no-bake method or lightly baked in the oven. In this recipe, we will look at the classic baked version, but adding any of your favourite berries, such as blueberries or bananas, will create your own unique version of this popular dish.

Secrets of tenderness and taste

The key to a tender cheesecake is to whip the cream to a smooth consistency without lumps. Use ingredients at room temperature — this will make whipping easier. Try not to overbake, as this can cause cracks on the surface of the cheesecake.

Tips on ingredients

Choose fresh, ripe strawberries to get the most flavour and colour. Vanilla extract will add richness, and fresh lemon zest can be added to enhance the flavour.

Small culinary nuances

Allow the cheesecake to cool in the oven with the door open after baking — this will help avoid a sharp drop in temperature, which can cause cracks.
