Preparation steps

Wash and peel 1 kg of carrots. Grate into long thin strips using a Korean grater. Transfer to a deep bowl.

Add 2 tsp sugar, 2 tsp salt, 1 tsp ground coriander, and 0.5 tsp black pepper. Mix well.

Press or finely grate 6 cloves of garlic. Add to the carrots and make a small well in the center.

Pour 100 ml vegetable oil into a pan, heat until smoke or bubbles appear. Add 1 tsp red chili pepper.

Carefully pour the hot spiced oil over the garlic in the center of the carrots. This activates the flavors.
