Preparation steps

Prepare the minced meat — Chop the onion, mix with the minced meat, add the cooked rice, season with salt and pepper. ⏱ 5 min. Guideline: The mixture should have a smooth consistency.

Prepare the potatoes — Peel the potatoes, grate them finely, squeeze out any excess liquid through a cheesecloth. ⏱ 10 min. Guideline: Potatoes are dry.

Mixing the dough — Add chopped onion to the potatoes, add eggs, flour, salt and pepper, mix. ⏱ 5 min. Guideline: Homogeneous mass.

Forming the deruny — Place a small amount of potato mixture in the palm of your hand, place the minced meat in the centre, cover with another portion of the mixture, and form a flat patty. ⏱ 8 min. Guideline: Even patties with visible minced meat in the centre.

Frying — Heat the oil in a frying pan, place the deruny in the pan and fry on both sides over medium heat. ⏱ 12 min. Guideline: Golden crust, meat inside is cooked.
