Product description from producer

In the unfinished novel "America", which was published after the author's death, Kafka used his crowning literary technique for the first time: the depiction of reality without any author's comment, through the character's consciousness. This is a fascinating story of a 16-year-old boy named Karl, a native of Germany, who is looking for his home, job, and generally his place under the sun — in America. At first, fate gives him a generous gift - an acquaintance with an influential senator-uncle, but then, just as suddenly, everything is taken away - and the young man finds himself on the street without means of livelihood. In addition, due to his childish naivety, Karl falls into bad company, and getting to know these people will cost him dearly in the future. Then there will be job searches, unexpected ups and downs. Sometimes fate, and those around him, will deal very cruelly with a young man. However, the fact that the novel was not finished by the author leaves hope that everything will be fine with Karl in the end, he will come out of all the trials with honor and at the same time remain himself.
