Product description from producer

"The Golden Calf (1931) is the second satirical novel by the famous Soviet writers I. Ilf and E. Petrov. Petrov. It is associated with the novel "The Twelve Chairs" by its main character, Ostap Bender. The book reflects the events taking place in the Soviet Union in the late twenties. In the pursuit of money underground millionaire Koreiko Ostap Bender and his accomplices have been in different parts of the country, experiencing many adventures. And Ostap never gets tired of repeating that he is an exceptionally law-abiding citizen who never resorts to theft or robbery. He himself admits that honoring the penal code is his weakness. "Golden Calf" consists of three parts. The first is called "The Antelope Crew," the second is "Two Combinators," and the third is "A Private Person." These three parts are independent short stories, and at the same time they are inextricably linked by the main plot collision - to force Koreiko to part with his money. But had Bender known how it would end!..!
