ArArAt Akhtamar is amber in colour with a copper glow. The bouquet is dominated by notes of beeswax, walnut and oak bark against a background of vanilla and prunes. Rounded, hidden, sweetish taste unfolds gradually and offers a long-lasting pleasure. Hints of prunes are present. Slight dryness at the end shades of cinnamon. Akhtamar Island is located on Lake Van, where in X century there was the residence of Armenian kings. The island's name is inspired by the legend of Princess Tamara's love for a beautiful young man.
