"Steam processing is a special technology for improving the quality characteristics of rice, as up to 80% of the vitamins and minerals contained in the bran shell are preserved, and the grains themselves become less brittle. Unhulled rice is soaked in water and then treated with hot steam under pressure . The grain is then dried and polished using high-tech equipment. The processed rice grains acquire a uniform amber-yellow shade. The yellowish shade of parboiled rice disappears during cooking, and it becomes snow-white, like white polished rice. The cooking time of rice is 20-25 minutes that the grains become firmer after processing and cook more slowly than ordinary rice. Parboild grains never stick together after cooking, they remain tasty and crumbly even after reheating the dish. The rice is suitable for preparing mixed dishes - paella, risotto, salads and soups."
