The aroma of the drink first reveals the nuances of apples and pears, which form the structure of this release. Herbaceous fresh fruit starts to come through as the whiskey begins to open. Subtle tones of honey and warm spices are revealed over time. The peat remains delicate on the nose, adding to the dryness. The texture, created by slow distillation and the influence of cognac oak, provides an oily structure that persists throughout. Dried lemon and apricot combine with cinnamon and nutmeg, held together by toasted oak and sweet peat smoke. Aftertaste with notes of dried fruit, marzipan, ginger and spices. Lingering shades are softened by citrus motifs.
