ORIGINAL COLLECTION
A collection of high-quality dry and semi-sweet wines that embody the uniqueness of the Shabo terroir. We believe that wine is culture. The symbols depicted on the SHABO Original Collection labels are elements of our Wine Culture Center. They tell the story of the Swiss settlers who founded the Shabo settlement back in 1822. For 200 years, this land has been a source of inspiration and passion, and it is these feelings that we put into every bottle of SHABO Original Collection.
The wines are made exclusively from Shabo terroir's own grapes. The vines were purchased in Europe with the characteristics of the Shabo soil in mind and planted in the best areas for them. This collection also includes a wine made from the pearl of the terroir — the hallmark of Ukraine — the autochthonous Telt-Kuruk variety. There is no other rootstock variety like it anywhere else in the world. Each wine in the Original collection has its own terroir plot with its own number, which, together with its geographical coordinates, is indicated on the back label of the bottle.
In order to create a product of exceptional quality, the number of grape bunches on each vine is reduced according to the variety. The grapes are harvested only by hand. Within 15-30 minutes (depending on the distance of the plot), the harvest is delivered to the production facility. Fermentation and storage of wine takes place in modern tanks with constant temperature control.
Quality control was carried out at all stages of production by international experts from SARL Derenoncourt (France).
