Perennial herbaceous plant, grown as an annual in our conditions (does not survive winter in open ground). The plant grows to a height of 90–100 cm. The stems are numerous, straight, and branching. The inflorescence is a basket 5-10 cm in diameter. The plants are light-loving, and in the shade, they stretch significantly and lose their decorative effect. They are very heat-loving and are sensitive even to slight frosts. During dry summers, they require moderate watering and do not tolerate excess moisture. They prefer loose, fertile soils. They are grown by sowing seeds directly into the ground or through seedlings. For seedlings, sow seeds in late March to early April. The seedlings appear on the 3rd to 4th day. The optimal temperature for seed germination is 21-23°C. Seedlings are planted in open ground in early June. Flowering occurs 85-100 days after sowing and lasts until the first autumn frosts. They are used in flower beds, borders, balconies, and containers.
