Description
The Lost Words bookstore is going through tough times due to the Covid-19 virus, which is spreading around the world at an alarming rate. The specter of closure looms on the horizon, and Lavdia Cardiu, the store's owner, is racking her brains trying to figure out how to keep her life's work afloat. One day, Lost Words receives a letter from a retired teacher couple asking for books they could read aloud to each other while sitting in their garden. This gives Lovedey and her quick-witted manager Kelly the idea of creating a kind of pharmacy where, instead of medicine for any ailment, books would be prescribed — for fear or heartbreak, for imaginary journeys or improving culinary skills... For some, the need to minimize contact with people becomes a real punishment from God, while others finally get the time to put their homes and minds in order...
