Description
The first part of Marcel Proust's famous seven-volume epic In Search of Lost Time. On the Other Side of the Swann", translated by one of the most prominent Ukrainian translators Anatoliy Perepadi, is one of the key works of modern psychological prose. The novel, written in 1913, begins a poetic, intricate journey through the labyrinths of memory-the world of childhood memories, inner experiences, and the imagination of the protagonist, a boy named Marcel, in which so many autobiographical features of the author himself are intertwined.
At the center of the work is the story of a lost childhood, impossible love, satire of high society trapped in the ephemerality of fashion, and a philosophical study of involuntary memory, behind the myriad secret doors of which everyone experiences their own, different story every time. Marcel Proust has created not a fictionalized chronicle of the events of his own life, but a detailed self-portrait of the artist's inner world, where sound, color, taste, and even smell awaken the imagination and forever connect the text with the reader's heart.
Number of pages: 496.
