Hazel Prior Call of the Penguins Book

Veronica McCready is unlikely to have any new adventures... Nine-year-old Daisy and nearly ninety-year-old Veronica are an unlikely pair of best friends. Surprisingly independent and always impeccably dressed, Veronica has been living alone in her huge house by the sea for a long time. But when fate brings the old lady together with lively Daisy, the woman discovers that her soul is once again burning with a thirst for adventure! What's more, both Veronica and Daisy simply adore penguins. So when they are invited to travel together to the other end of the world — to the penguins of the southern hemisphere — the friends eagerly accept this crazy offer. Veronica thought that new acquaintances, fun with friends, and love were long gone, but... Maybe it's never too late to live life to the fullest?
