Action of the main components of the cream-balm:
• Allantoin – a natural compound found in medicinal plants such as Comfrey (Symphytum officinale), as well as in soy, wheat, rice husks, or mollusks of the species Helix aspersa Muller. In modern products, synthetic allantoin is mainly used, as it does not cause allergic reactions or irritation and is almost identical to the natural one.
• Allantoin exhibits the following properties – it accelerates epidermal renewal (promotes the dissolution of dead skin cells, thereby renewing the skin); it is an effective antioxidant, reducing harmful effects on the skin and slowing down cell aging; the main function of allantoin is to heal and restore the barrier properties of the epidermis. In combination with other active components, it enhances tissue regeneration, eliminating flaking and skin dryness.
• Onion Extract (Allium cepa extract) – an active component whose properties are associated with a high content of biologically active substances, such as flavonoids, organic acids, vitamins, and sulfur-containing compounds, which can:
relieve tissue inflammation, promoting faster skin healing;
exhibit antiseptic effects, reducing the risk of infection in wounds and inflammation;
stimulate collagen production and help reduce the appearance of scars, marks, and stretch marks;
moisturize and soften – maintains skin’s water balance, preventing dryness and flaking.
• Hyaluronic Acid (HA) – a natural component of the skin, part of the intercellular substance of the dermis. It is synthesized by the human body and is present in connective, epithelial, and nerve tissues.
