Julius Meinl is an Austrian coffee, tea and sweets brand. Its founder, Julius Meinl the First, started his eponymous business as a small spice shop in the center of Vienna in 1862. 
His follower in 1877 made a real revolution in the world of coffee - the roasted grain did not contain foreign odors and flavors. The logo with the legendary Mauritanian was designed in 1924 by designer Josef Binder. Since then, it has been updated several times. Only in 2004 did the logo appear in the form we see it now.
