This soft cheese is made from cow's milk and is shaped like a “cake” covered with white velvet mold. Under the crust there is a delicate flowing mass of creamy color. It exudes a light hazelnut aroma. Young Brie has a soft and delicate taste, but as it matures it becomes spicy. Brie will elevate any dish, even sandwiches. The rich fruity aroma makes this cheese suitable for fondues and sauces. Green apples, pears, melon, grapes, strawberries, walnuts, vegetables and meat go well with Brie. Both white and red wines go well with Brie. Sparkling wines, including champagne, can also accompany you.
