Haruki Murakami Kafka on the Shore Book

Tamura, a teenager from Tokyo, is running away from a dark prophecy: the boy's father believes that he will die by the hand of his son, after which he will have an affair with his mother and sister. Frightened by the fate of a modern-day Oedipus, Tamura leaves the city and hides under a new name, Kafka. In Takamatsu, Kafka meets Ms. Saeki, the director of a private library, and young Sakura. But a strange thing happens: he begins to think of these women as his mother and sister.
The young man's life is full of mysterious events. The other world calls him into its arms. One day, the boy regains consciousness in a park, stained with someone's blood. Someone has opened a passage to an unknown world, and Kafka has only to step into the unknown.
