All types of Dieffenbachia have a succulent and powerful stem, which is decorated with very large oval-shaped leaf blades. The leaves of this plant have a very unusual appearance due to their color and size. At the same time, as a result of the painstaking work of breeders, hybrids and varieties with unusual leaf color have appeared. Such a plant almost never blooms in indoor culture, it is cultivated not because of flowers, but because of large spectacular leaves, which can be variegated or green.

Flowering. It is grown as an ornamental foliage crop.
Illumination. Varieties with variegated leaves require a large amount of diffused bright light. Green-leaved forms grow well in light shade.
Temperature regime. In summer - from 20 to 30 degrees, and in the winter months - no colder than 15 degrees.
Watering. In the cold season, moderately, and in the warm season, abundantly.
Humidity. It should be high (approximately 65%). It is necessary to systematically moisten the leaves from the sprayer.
Fertilizers. 1 time in 20 days during the entire growing season. Use mineral fertilizers without lime. The dosage should be reduced by half of the manufacturer's recommended dosage.
Dormant period. It is observed in September-March.
Transplantation. It is carried out in February-May, when the root system ceases to fit in the container.
Reproduction. By air layers, stem and apical cuttings, and seed method.
