"Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls" raised more than $ 1,5 million on the Kickstarter platform in 2016 and 2017. The authors of the project are Elena Favili and Francesca Cavallo. The history of this book began with the fact that its authors Elena Favilli and Francesca Cavallo published an electronic children's magazine, which became quite popular. They created content about raising children without gender stereotypes. Later, the authors found that among the various fairy tales there are almost none that would help girls see their opportunities more widely. And fictional heroines can rarely be role models in real life. Then the idea was born to create a book of inspiration - a collection of fairy tales about real women who changed the world. Stories about the lives of 100 prominent women from around the world were collected for the book "Night Tales for Rebellious Girls". The project involved 60 illustrators working in different styles. Each cover of the book contains a small biographical essay in the form of a fairy tale and a bright portrait of the heroine. In 2016, the fundraising campaign for the first book raised 675 thousand dollars - ten times more than the authors of the project planned.
