Product description from producer

George Orwell (real name Eric Arthur Blair) was an English novelist, essayist, journalist, and critic. His work is characterized by sharp social criticism, opposition to totalitarianism, and outspoken support for the democratic aspirations of humanity. He is the author and popularizer of the term "Cold War" in political discourse.

The novella "Animal Farm" is one of the world's most famous allegorical works, first published on August 17, 1945. According to Orwell, the book describes the events of the 1917 revolution in the Russian Empire and the establishment of the era of Stalin's dictatorship in the Soviet Union. Orwell was an uncompromising critic of Joseph Stalin and an opponent of Stalinism since the Spanish Civil War. He believed that the Soviet Union was under a brutal dictatorship, founded on a cult of personality and enforced by terror.
