Spaghetti (Spaghetti) – 12The famous format originated in the south of Italy and in the cities where pasta was originally produced: Naples, Genoa and Liguria. Spaghetti has an elongated shape and a round cross-section, with a diameter of 1.92 and 2.00 mm. The first official entries about "spaghetto" were seen in the first dictionary of the Italian language by Nicolo Tommaseo and Bernardo Bellini (1819). The word “Spaghetto” is inscribed in the masculine gender, singular person, as a diminutive of “spago” (Italian: Spago - twine, twine). Spaghetti can be served with hot or cold sauces made from fresh or canned tomatoes, vegetables and herbs. They also go well with instant sauces like aglio, oglio e peperoncino (made with garlic, olive oil and hot pepper).
