Gerolakt is an innovative functional fermented milk product on the Ukrainian dairy market, which is produced only under the TM "Yagotynskoe". The uniqueness of the drink is embodied in its origin, history, composition and individual characteristics.
The history of the origin of this drink begins in 1984. Then the domestic scientists of the Institute of Food Resources, the Institute of Gerontology, the Institute of Microbiology and Virology set themselves the goal of finding the secret of longevity of the inhabitants of the mountainous region of Abkhazia. The technology of the fermented milk drink was developed using a special bacterial concentrate based on traditional lactic acid bacteria and a culture typical for long-livers of Abkhazia.
Gerolakt differs from other fermented milk drinks by the peculiarity of the composition of its microflora and the component composition of the recipe. In particular, the drink contains the bacteria Streptococcus thermophiles and the probiotic Enterococcus faecium.
