Product description from producer

Poppy is a genus of herbaceous plants of the poppy family. Annual, biennial and perennial grasses, usually with a developed stem, rarely stemless. Most poppies grow in arid places - steppes, semi-deserts, deserts, dry rocky slopes of mountains. There are about 75 species in Ukraine, Russia and the Near Abroad. Poppies are grown mainly in India, China, Turkey, Iran, the countries of Asia Minor and Central Asia and Afghanistan. Among European countries, the most common poppy was found in the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovakia. But unlike Asian countries, where poppies are grown mainly for the production of opium, in Europe, poppies are grown as a valuable Shrovetide crop. Poppy seeds are widely used in the manufacture of confectionery and bakery products - they are sprinkled on flour products, added to halva or used as a filling. In addition, oil is obtained from the seeds, which is used in confectionery and canning industries, as well as in pharmaceuticals and perfumery.
